You can use the Guides feature to write out a rulebook using markdown. But if you’ve already created a rulebook in another application, follow these steps to add it to Screentop:
- Output the rulebook as JPG or PNG images. Stitch the various pages together like you would a sheet of cards using https://old.photojoiner.com/ or another tool.
- Upload stitched together image of your rulebook as an Asset.
- Create a Counter as a component. Set the "Size" to the number of pages in your rulebook. Set the width and height to dimensions that match your rulebook.
- Click on "Variants," then "Variant 1," and set the asset to your rulebook asset. The first page of your rulebook should be visible in the "Asset Index" field.
- Create the component on your game surface, and you have a rulebook that players can interact with! You can press F to flip to the next page of your rulebook, and Shift+F to flip to the previous page.
